A Little About Me

When my wife and I were planning our wedding we never expected so many hurdles. Because we are an interfaith couple we needed to make a decision: Who would marry us? A rabbi? A priest? A judge? We wanted a spiritual ceremony honoring our different religions, but we didn't want to offend anyone from either family. There was no such thing as an 'interfaith' or 'non-denomination' minister in 1985.
We were thrilled when Kathleen's priest agreed to marry us, but we had to hire a rabbi from out of the yellow pages. The ceremony was beautiful, but it lacked that 'personal touch'.
Since then I have always hoped that, one day, I would help couples who wanted to be married but did not want to follow the ‘traditional wedding ceremony’ path.
When the time was right, I changed careers and became was ordained as an interfaith minister and began performing wedding ceremonies throughout New Jersey, New York City, Westchester County and Pennsylvania. It has been the greatest joy of my life.

MY FAMILY
I'm 55 years old and my wife and we just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary! Kathleen is the most patient, caring and loving lady in the world.
(She told me to say that)
She is not only my best friend, but also my partner.
We have two very beautiful, very intelligent and sweet girls in college who drive me crazy on a regular basis. It is their job. I love them with all my heart.

MY BIG RADIO APPEARANCE:
I was asked to perform as the minister for the WPLJ radio contest "2 Strangers and a Wedding". (It had the largest audience of any wedding I've ever performed - Millions of LIVE listeners! The "wedding" was actually a contest in which the 'bride' and the 'groom' won an all expense paid 'reception' and 'honeymoon' to Barbados.
Limos, dresses, tuxedos - all included - everything was part of the prize.
The party took place at the Bridgewater Manor on February 22, 2006. The fun part was that the "bride" and "groom" didn't get to meet face-to-face until they walked down the aisle!. I had a great time meeting the entire cast and crew of the show. It was not a real wedding/marriage (there was no license), but it was a GREAT PARTY!
MY DOGS
I am a huge advocate of rescuing dogs from shelters and rescues.

First, "Sophie"- a purebred Saint Bernard. She was rescued from a "high kill" shelter in South Carolina where she was just hours from death. Sophie is 5 years old - a big girl but she is definitely a sweet 'gentle giant".
Sophie loves to ride in the car, loves to snuggle and shed, and meet new dogs.

We have also rescued Matthew. He is 60 pounds of black Labrador-chow mix
(7 years old) and he knows how to fetch and loves belly rubs, and he is very determined, one day, to catch a squirrel. He has become the official "King of the Couch".

Matthew gets along great with his big sister, Sophie.
They have become a team and are inseparable.
